Maddie Poppe in concert Sunday
Maddie Poppe will perform from 7-9 PM at the Denver City Park this Sunday, Aug. 13, to conclude the series of free community concerts.

Poppe is a nineteen-year-old Indie/Pop/Folk singer-songwriter from Clarksville. She’s been playing shows locally for over three years and has built up a good following.

In the past couple of years she’s had some great musical opportunities. Maddie was selected to audition on the season premiere of NBC's "The Voice," which aired in February 2016 to 13.4 million viewers. In June 2016, she had the opportunity to open up for Diamond Rio at the Butler County Fair.

Poppe also recently released her first album of original material called "Songs From The Basement" which she wrote, recorded and produced. Visit to listen to songs from the album, view videos, and read some articles about her music.

The concert is sponsored in part by Bart’s End Zone and the Denver Diplomats. Pie, lemonade, water and coffee will be available from St. Peter’s Women’s Auxiliary.

Donna Petersen, representing Denver Diplomats, would like to extend special thanks to Sarah Oltrogge, for her excellent coordination of this season’s summer concerts, as well as the past seasons.

“These concerts have been a wonderful source of enjoyment to our Denver community!” Petersen said.

Sarah Oltrogge was president of the Denver Diplomats in its early years, as well as a founding member. She currently serves as secretary for the Diplomats.
