Rudolph William “Rudy” Busch
Rudolph William “Rudy” Busch, age 88, of Denver, Iowa, died Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly, Iowa.

Rudy was born on September 25, 1928, in Readlyn, Iowa, the son of Rudolph Sr. and Elda (Fagenbaum) Busch. He was raised in Readlyn where he was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church and in 1946, graduated from the Readlyn High School. On July 27, 1948, Rudy was united in marriage to Wanda Mae Ganske at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Rudy worked at Shield-Bantam Crane in Waverly until 1986. He then started Rudy’s Sales and Service (Golf Carts) in Denver where he worked until his passing.

Rudy was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Denver. Rudy enjoyed his Saturday meetings at the shop and collecting cars.

Rudy’s memory is honored by: his wife, Wanda of Denver, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Lois Ganske of Readlyn; a brother-in-law; Dale Thurm of Nashville, Tennessee; and two nieces, Sally Happel of Waterloo and Nancy Brettmann of Denver. He was preceded in death by: his parents; three sisters, Luetta Kehe, Daphine Brettmann and Janice Busch in infancy; two nephews; Tom Brettmann and Lyle Happel; and a niece, Jackie (Kehe) Lutgen.

Private family funeral services will be held at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly with Reverend Craig Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Readlyn. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul United Church of Christ, Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, or Cedar Valley Hospice and online condolences may be left at kaisercorson.com.
