Geraldine T. Wolter
Geraldine T. Wolter, 90, of Denver, Iowa, died on Sunday, December 24, 2017, at her home.

Gerrie was born on June 30, 1927, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Homer David and Bertha Catherine (Burger) Barron. She graduated from West High School in Waterloo in 1945. She was united in marriage to Donald H. Wolter on December 4, 1959, at First United Methodist Church in Waterloo. Gerrie worked for several years at Northwestern Bell. She later worked at Allen Hospital and retired in 1988 after 23 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed bird watching, reading and spending time with her family. Donald passed away on October 22, 2000.

Gerrie is survived by her three daughters, Ruth (Dan) Hall and Donna Wolter, both of Denver; and Beverly (Mark) Furst of Boone; her grandchildren, John Wolter, Stephanie (Chris) Eagan and their children, Olivia Eagan, Payton Sokoloski, Trey Sokoloski and Collins Eagan; Scott (Chantel) Hall and their children, Ashton, Maverick and Haunna; Baillee Furst and Ashley Furst; and a sister-in-law, Kathleen Barron of Highland, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her father and stepmother, Homer and Ruth Barron; her mother and stepfather, Bertha and William Lamb; and her three brothers, William, Donald and Richard Barron.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 29, 2017, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Denver with Pastor Michael Sherer officiating. Burial will be held in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in Denver. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver and also for one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.
