Inter-Generational Story Time planned at Willow Winds Assisted Living Center
Children ages 3 to 7 years old are welcome to attend a special story time at Willow Winds Assisted Living Center on Wednesday, June 20 at 10:30 a.m. The Denver Public Library will be on hand to present “It’s Berry Picking Time.”

The children, along with their parents, grandparents, or caregivers, can enjoy “berry fun” stories and craft activities centered around the berry picking theme with the residents at Willow Winds.

When seniors and children are given the opportunity to interact, the results can be very beneficial for all. For seniors, intergenerational activities can allow them to view things from a new perspective and can improve mental and physical health. The children gain important communication and social skills, along with valuable knowledge and wisdom to help shape them as they grow. Intergenerational activities help all age groups develop a sense of community involvement.

There is no cost to attend the story time and no preregistration is required. An intergenerational story time will be held the third Wednesday of each month at Willow Winds. Willow Winds Assisted Living Center is located at 121 Bremer Ave. in Denver.
