Delbert E. Meyer
Delbert E. Meyer, 86, of Waunakee, WI., passed away June 27, 2018 at the University of Wisconsin Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Delbert was born October 7, 1931 in Manly, Ia to Irving and Anna Meyer. He graduated from Manly High School in 1949. In 1952 he enlisted in the US Army and served in the Korean War. Delbert married Arlene Entner, daughter of Carl and Frances Entner of Mason City in 1952.

Delbert worked for the Mason City Waterworks, John Deere Tractor Works in Waterloo and then transferred to the John Deere Horicon Works in Horicon, WI. He retired from John Deere in 1997.

Delbert is survived by his wife, Arlene of Waunakee, WI, 4 children, Debra (Mrs Tim)Schmidt , Cedar Falls, IA, Susan Hill, Blue Springs,MO, Lori (Mrs Mark) Weiderhaft, Waunakee, WI and Ron Meyer also of Waunakee, Wi.
He has 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Also survived by a sister, Jeanette Followwill, Belmond, IA.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Irving Meyer,and a brother Harvey Meyer.

Delbert enjoyed coffee club, senior trips, spending time at his daughters farm, and visiting with family.

Delbert donated his body to the University of Wisconsin Hospital. There will be a memorial service at a later date.

Memorials may be sent to the University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, Peace Lutheran Church in Waunakee,WI, or the Senior Center of Waunakee in honor of Delbert Meyer.
