Ice cream is the theme Aug. 22
I scream! You scream! We all scream for ice cream! Join the staff at the Denver Public Library and the residents of Willow Winds Assisted Living Center for an inter-generational story time on Wednesday, Aug. 22 at 10:30 AM.

The story time will be held at Willow Winds and is open to children 2 to 7 years of age. Children can enjoy ice cream-themed stories, a special craft activity and a cool treat with the residents. The program is free to attend and no pre-registration is needed.

Studies have shown that inter-generational activities benefit both seniors and young children. The residents enjoy the social interaction with the youngsters and help the children develop communication skills and a sense of community.

The Denver Library presents the inter-generational story time every 3rd or 4th Wednesday morning of the month at Willow Winds. Willow Winds Assisted Living Center is located at 121 Bremer Ave in Denver. For more information call the library at 984-5140 or Willow Winds at 984-5867.
