October technology classes are planned at Denver Library
The Denver Public Library will offer two technology related classes during the month of October.

You can learn how to create fliers, brochures, newsletters, and more using Microsoft Publisher. The class will be held tomorrow, Thursday, October 11 at 6:30 PM. The instructor will show participants some of the many features of Publisher and give ideas for creating eye-catching documents for personal or business use. If you have a laptop with Microsoft Publisher, you can bring it with you to class or use one of the laptops available at class.

On Thursday, October 25 at 6:30 PM, parents and children are welcome to come to a special class on “Staying Safe Online for Kids.” The Internet is a wonderful resource, but access to it has its hazards for kids. This class will help kids protect their information while going online safely. The class will give tips for parents, while talking to kids at their level.

Both classes are free to attend, but pre-registration is requested. Both classes are taught by qualified instructors. These classes are part of the Bremer County Libraries’ fall technology classes. A schedule of classes available this fall can be picked up at any Bremer County Library site.

To sign up for these classes, call the Denver Public Library at 984-5140 or email kplatte@denver.lib.ia.us.
