State Representative Sandy Salmon is guest speaker for Denver Veterans Day event
Veterans Day will be observed at Denver High School starting at 8:15 AM on Monday, Nov. 12. Area girls who attended Girls State this past summer will speak on their experience.

The program will also include the Denver American Legion Color Guard presenting and retrieving the colors, plus a full firing squad giving a 21-gun salute.

This program will be repeated at the American Legion Hall in Denver the evening of Monday, Nov. 12, with a social hour starting at 5:30 PM and the program at 6:30 PM. The Legion will provide turkey and ham and all those attending are asked to bring a covered dish or dessert for the potluck meal.

The public is welcome to attend these special events in honor of our veterans. The featured speaker will be Sandy Salmon. Sandy is the State Representative for the Iowa District #63 and is also a Marine Corp Veteran.
