Evelyn Moeller
Evelyn Moeller, 93, of Tripoli, died Monday, January 28, 2019, at the Tripoli Nursing Home.

Evelyn was born March 2, 1925, in Freemont Township, the daughter of William and Hulda (Schellhorn) Zander. She was baptized March 22, 1925 and confirmed April 10, 1938, both at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Crane Creek. She attended school at Freemont #2 and German School at Crane Creek. On November 28, 1943, she was united in marriage to Virgil Moeller at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Crane Creek. The couple farmed near Readlyn and Tripoli. Virgil passed away November 4, 1998.

Evelyn was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Crane Creek. She was a farmer’s wife working together with her husband on the family farm. She enjoyed family activities, social gatherings, sewing, crocheting, word search and tending to her garden.

Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Steege of Waterloo and a son, Larry Moeller of Sumner, eight grandchildren; Rhonda (Rich) Gilbert, Brian (Marcy) Moeller, Scott (Sonja) Steege, Roxanne (Brad) Paulsen, Kristie (Kyle) Kuhse, Becki (Mike) Embretson, Darin (Jenny) Steege and Deann (Matt) Dietz, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, one brother, Amos (Marilyn) Zander of Tripoli. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Virgil in 1998, son-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Steege, three brothers, Harold, William and Willard Zander, and one sister, Doretta Seegers.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Crane Creek with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver and for an hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Memorials may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Crane Creek, Tripoli Nursing Home, or St. Croix Hospice. On-line condolences may be left at www.kaisercorson.com.
