Ervin Melvin Wittenburg
Ervin Melvin Wittenburg, 85, passed away on May 1, 2019, at Banner University Hospital in Phoenix Arizona.

Ervin was born to John and Rosetta (Sell) Wittenburg on October 7, 1933 in Readlyn, Iowa. Ervin married Donna Mae Paul on November 7, 1954. He enjoyed spending time with family & friends. Ervin was a member of Moose Lodge in Arizona City, Lion Club in Eloy, and Central Lutheran Church in Arizona City. He retired from Arizona City Fire Department. Ervin enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing cards. He retired from selling real estate in Arizona City.

Ervin is survived by his wife of 64 years, Donna Wittenburg; a daughter, Marva (David) Wolter of Denver, Iowa; two sons, Randy (Rhea) Wittenburg of Arizona City and Darren Wittenburg of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Jessica (Ian), Jill (Scott), Lindsey, Chad (Jackie), Becca and Barrett; his great-grandchildren, Sydnie, Maelyn, Cash, Charli, Greyson and Connor; and a sister, Marge Degelau of Denver, Iowa.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Rosetta Wittenburg; two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2019, at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Denver with Pastor Craig Henderson officiating. Burial will be held in Fairview Cemetery in Denver. There will be an hour of visitation at the church prior to the service.
