Lawn workshop Thursday at the library here
The Denver Library and Bremer County Extension and Outreach office for Iowa State University are hosting a special “Lawn and Yard” care program for homeowners and businesses. The program is Thursday, May 16 from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Denver Library. It is free and open to the general public.

Guest speaker is Dr. Adam Thoms, ISU Extension turfgrass specialist, whose work also involves the challenge of managing the turf at ISU’s Jack Trice Football Stadium on campus. A native of Bremer County, he will share ideas with attendees on lawn topics ranging from mowing, to pest control, to fertilization, and will have time for individual questions.

After the program portion, he will bring the class outside to the library lawn to share ideas and how to use the tips discussed during the class.
