Glenn Hesse
Glenn Hesse of Denver passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at the Strawberry Point Lutheran Home in Strawberry Point from Parkinson’s Disease.

Glenn was born November 11, 1960, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Roger and Marion Hesse. He graduated from Denver High School in 1979 and began working for Schumacher Elevator Company in Denver shortly thereafter. On March 31, 1979, he was united in marriage to Cheri Lenehan in Denver; the couple later divorced. After working in several capacities for the company, he retired from Schumacher Elevator after 35 years of service.

Glenn loved being outdoors, especially hunting and horseback riding. He also enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, exercising, riding motorcycle and camping. Above all, he enjoyed the time spent with his family and friends.

Glenn is survived by his daughter, Carey (Mason) Cowell of Plainfield and a son, Jake (Whitney) Hesse of Claremont, Minnesota, four grandchildren, Giles Arthur Cowell, Kamille Carolyn Cowell, Kaydnce Ann Cowell, and Abrielle Cae Hesse, one brother, Ernie (Vicky) Hesse of Denver and one sister, Cheryl (Myron) Hartz of Prescott Valley, Arizona and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Marion Hesse, and his grandparents, Lora and Arthur Hesse and Roland and Josephine Harmening.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019, at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Camp Sunnyside or Waverly Archery Club. On-line condolences may be left at
