New Sunset Home administrator named
By Lindsey Corell

On January 1, Blair Boynton not only started a journey into a new year but also as the new administrator at Denver Sunset Home.

Boynton started at the Denver Sunset Home on November 14, but took over officially on January 1. Former administrator of 32 years, Denise Willig, retired on December 31 along with former administrative secretary of 24 years, Carol Jaschen. The job of administrator was listed online and Boynton was eager to apply as she always wanted to work for a nonprofit organization and Denver Sunset Home had a good survey history.

Boynton received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at UNI. She worked for the Social Security Administration for around eight years. She eventually went back to UNI and received a Bachelor's Degree for Long Term Care Administration. Before coming to the Denver Sunset Home, Boynton worked at the Winslow House Care Center in Marion.

“I look forward to building relationships with the staff and residents,” said Boynton. “I feel really lucky to have the opportunity to work here and be a part of the community.”
