Larry Lyle Boyce
Larry Lyle Boyce, 78, of Waverly, formerly of Denver, Iowa, died Saturday, January 18, 2020, at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly.

Larry was born April 28, 1941, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Alto and Barbara (Allen) Boyce. He was baptized June 15, 1941 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterloo and confirmed April of 1956 at St. John’s Lutheran Church-Maxfield, Denver, Iowa. He graduated from Denver High School. Larry was a longtime employee of Nestle in Waverly where he would eventually retire. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church-Maxfield, Denver, Iowa.

Larry is survived by his two brothers, Bill (Shirley) Boyce of Bahama, North Carolina and Ken (Coleen) Boyce of Waterloo, one sister, Barbara Miller of Cedar Falls and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020, at St. John Lutheran Church-Maxfield, Denver, with Pastor Katie Rodriguez officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver and for an hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
