Darwin B. Larson
Darwin B. Larson, 83, of Denver, died Saturday, February 29, 2020, at the Denver Sunset Home in Denver.

Darwin was born January 8, 1937, in Mitchell Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, the son of Duane and Sadie (Weldin) Larson. He attended country school in Ionia and then schools in St. Ansgar, Waterloo and Hudson, finally graduating from Waterloo East High School with the class of 1955. On September 21, 1958, he was united in marriage to Carol Ann Peter. He was employed by Titus Mfg for almost 20 years until the plant closed in 1975. He retired in 2000 from Bruns Machinery in Cedar Falls. Carol passed away in 2016 and Darwin continued to live in Denver.

Darwin was a Sons of Norway and NRA Member. He enjoyed bicycling, outdoor recreation and wildlife, and reading. He also enjoyed his visits to the Denver American Legion Hall to be with friends.

Darwin is survived by one daughter; Linda Brink of Evergreen, Colorado, three sons; David (Julie) Larson of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Mark Larson of Waterloo and Dean (Michelle) Larson of Waterloo, 6 grandchildren; Katie Larson of Los Angeles, California, Jonathan Larson of Cedar Rapids, Anne Brink of Brooklyn, New York, Jacqueline Brink of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Sadie Larson of Waterloo and Claretta Larson of Waterloo, one brother, Dale (Marlys) Larson of Bondurant, Iowa. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol, brother Darrell Larson and a sister, Dorothy Gerdes.

A private family service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver with Pastor Dawn Pederson presiding. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home with a Celebration of Life held immediately following at the Denver American Legion Hall. Private family burial will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo.
