Concession stand makeover
Story & photo by Lindsey Corell

The Denver Cyclones baseball concession stand was in need of many repairs. Members of the Denver Lions Club stepped in to help.

Marv Kramer, Bruce Piehl, Gene Leonhart along with other Lions Club members put in a total of 100 hours of donated time to repair the baseball concession stand at the Denver Cyclone Athletic Complex. Due to rain, the walls of the concession stand were beginning to rot. The members replaced the wood, installed new windows, put on a fresh coat of paint and added new shelving to the concession stand.

The softball concession stand, run by the Denver Cyclone Booster Club, will also be getting repaired with the help of the Lions Club members.

"The Denver Lions Club has a robust history of community service and their ties to the baseball program run very deep," said Scott Krebsbach. "As board president I am extremely grateful to the club and its members for stepping forward on this project. It’s yet one more reason to be proud of our community."
