Food Drive is Monday, Oct. 19
The first annual Leo Club-Denver Food Drive will be held Monday, October 19 from 5:30-6:30 PM, sponsored by the Denver Leos, Lions and Scouts.

On Oct. 19, gather together non-perishable canned goods, box foods and paper products and place them at the street intersection closest to your home. Between 5:30 and 6:30 pm, members of the Leos, Lions and Scouts will be “driving the streets of Denver,” picking up your donations.

If you are unable to bring your bag to the intersection, turn on your porch light and it will be picked up off your front porch.

The food and paper products will be distributed, first, to Denver Cares and, secondly, shared equally between Bremer County Food Pantry and His Helping Hands Food Pantry.

Rural residents may take items to the Lion’s Shelter at Prestien Park, the intersection of 260th St. and Killdeer Ave., or the entrance of the Rustic Hills Development on Joplin Ave.

For more info, contact a Leo, a Lion, or Scout. Text or call Marv Kramer, Denver Lions President, at 319-559-0101 or email at
