Cyclones are undefeated after 3rd week

Denver powered through its second football game of the season with a 32-6 takedown of Union on Sept. 3.

Ethan Schoville totaled 159 rushing yards and scored one touchdown. Caylor Hoffer, who had 94 rushing yards, and Tye Bradley, who had 68 rushing yards, also scored two of the team’s touchdowns. Kasey Wirtjes led with 66 receiving yards. Tye Bradley finished the game with 137 passing yards. The team had 48 tackles including 6.5 from Nathan Olmstead and six from Braden Powers.

Against Sumner-Fredericksburg

Denver rolled over its week three competition with a 37-0 victory against Sumner-Fredericksburg (1-2) on Sept. 10. The Cyclones led the Cougars 20-0 in the first half before scoring another 10 points in the third and seven in the fourth.

Ethan Schoville had 131 rushing yards and 19 carries and scored two touchdowns. Schoville has led the team in receiving yards with 69. Caylor Hoffer had 127 rushing yards and five carries. Hoffer also had 19 receiving yards in his two receptions. Hoffer totaled three touchdowns in the game. Tye Bradley once again totaled 137 passing yards and scored two touchdowns. Luke Koepke, Kolby Mcpherson, Tanner Kroeze and Braden Powers contributed to the team’s four sacks. The team totaled 47 tackles and seven tackles for loss.
