Denver girls’ soccer breaks record in Regional opener

The Denver girls’ soccer team took an 8-0 win in their regional opener on May 17. The #8-ranked Cyclones, who only have a single loss to their name, scored four goals each period to claim the win over Clayton Ridge (4-7).

Goals came from Keira Gehrke, Alyssa Harberts, Grace Mullihan, Lexi Gehrke, Anna Mulert, Kenzie Snyder, and Alayna Akers.
The team broke a school record in their seven assists of the night. The team claims the record for the highest single season assists with 80.

Lexi Gehrke tallied two assists against the Eagles. The remaining assists were by Keira Gehrke, Bailey Mullihan, Grace Hennessy, and Mulert.
