Denver special election absentee voting begins
Bremer County Auditor, Shelley Wolf has announced that absentee ballots for the February 7, 2012 Special City Election to fill a vacancy on the Denver City Council are available in the Bremer County Auditor’s Office.
Absentee ballots may be cast in the Bremer County Auditor’s Office in the Bremer County Courthouse, 415 E Bremer Ave, Waverly, IA, during regular office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday, through February 6. Requests for ballots to be mailed must be received in the Auditor’s Office by 5:00 p.m. February 3, 2012 and returned to the Auditor’s office before polls close on election day or be postmarked by midnight, February 6, 2012.
All requests for absentee ballots must be made in writing. Forms are available at the Auditor’s Office and on the Secretary of State’s web site at www.sos.state.ia.us/pdfs/absenteeballotapp.pdf .
