Cyclone Baseball named District Champs

The Denver Cyclones baseball team secured its spot in the substate finals after a strong week of postseason play, earning three victories to continue their season.

On July 6, Denver (8-14) hosted Crestwood (4-20) in the opening round of postseason action.

Crestwood took an initial lead with two runs in the opening inning, but the Cyclones responded quickly. Denver scored once in the second inning, added three runs in the third, and exploded for five more in the fourth to build a commanding 9-2 advantage. Crestwood claimed a final run in the seventh, resulting in a 9-3 win for Denver.
