Kevin Neisen
Kevin Gene Neisen, 62, of Denver, died Friday, September 26, 2025, at his home after a lengthy illness.
Kevin was born January 22, 1963, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Arnold P. and Janice L. (Eberhard) Neisen. He graduated from Waterloo West High School. On January 16, 1981, he began working at Crescent Electric in Waterloo. He worked in the warehouse, sales, was branch manager and over his 45 year career worked up to his current position as Area Customer Experience Supervisor-Northern Plains Super District. On July 2, 1994, he was united in marriage to Sara Shafer in Waterloo. To this union, two children were born, Madison and Mason.
Kevin loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. An avid golfer, he got a hole-in-one at Pines Grandview Lodge on September 19, 2004. He had an extensive hat collection and was known to be a Rock-N-Roll aficionado. He supported his kids at theater, sporting and life events. Kevin loved history, especially World War I and World War II.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Sara, of Denver, one daughter, Madison Neisen of Des Moines and one son, Mason Neisen of Des Moines, one sister, Ginger (Daryl) Burns of Walker, Iowa, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation was held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m., both held at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver. Following the Celebration, the family will gather with friends at the Denver American Legion. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the family.
