Cyclones advance Nuss to State Tourney
By Micah Knebel

The Denver Cyclone girls’ golf team was in Williamsburg for their regional final on May 17.

The girls closed the meet with a third-place finish and a score of 380, just three strokes away from tying with West Marshall who, alongside first place finisher Mid-Prairie (367), will go on to the 2A state finals as a team.

But the Cyclones’ season doesn’t stop yet. Senior Bailey Nuss, who hit a 90, took fourth at regionals and earned her ticket to state.

This will mark her first return to state after her tie-breaking score in the 2021 regionals that bumped the team to a second-place finish and made the Cyclones state qualifiers.
