Council to appoint replacement for Wittenburg Sept. 18

The Denver City Council plans to appoint a replacement for Matt Wittenburg at their Monday, Sept. 18 meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. in the council chambers of city hall.

Any adult resident of Denver who is interested in being considered for the appointment should submit a letter of interest to City Hall no later than Friday, Sept. 15 at noon. Specifically, the letters should be submitted to Larry Farley, City Clerk/Administrator, 100 Washington St., Denver, Iowa 50622.

The appointment will be effective immediately and will run through the remainder of Wittenburg’s term – which ends on Jan. 2, 2024.
