Beverly Kubicek

Beverly Lorene Kubicek, age 87, of Cedar Falls, Iowa and formerly of Denver, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Nation Cottage in Cedar Falls.

Beverly was born on October 13, 1937, in Butler County, Iowa, the daughter of Eli and Thelma (DeVore) Uhlenhopp.  She was raised in Clarksville, Iowa, and graduated from the Clarksville High School.  On February 17, 1957, Beverly was united in marriage to Melvin Kubicek in Clarksville.  She spent her time being a professional mom.

Beverly’s greatest love in life was her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  Beverly also enjoyed quilting, playing bridge, preschool directing, and singing from sunup to sundown.  She was a past member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Denver and several other Lutheran Churches during her life.

Beverly’s memory is honored by: four daughters, Marieta (Gary) Gissel of Independence, Iowa, Pamela (Mark) Avaux or Urbandale, Iowa, Adele (Scott) Heilskov of Latimer, Iowa, Tricia Kubicek of West Des Moines, Iowa; a son, David (Dawn) Kubicek of Berthoud, Colorado; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Galvin (Mary Jeanne) Uhlenhopp of Kasson, Minnesota, Darwin (April) Uhlenhopp of Clarksville and Wendell (Myrna) Uhlenhopp of Clarksville; and a sister, Judy (Alvie) Adelmund.  She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband in 2008; infant daughter, Cynthia Lou Kubicek; grandson, Wesley Crawford; and a sister, Eileen Wust and brother-in-law, Raymond Wust.

The family would like to thank the staff at Nation Cottage (Western Home Communities) for the wonderful loving care she received the past three years.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 30, at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly and were livestreamed on Kaiser-Corson’s YouTube page.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Denver Public Library, Denver, Iowa.  Online condolences may be left at www.kaisercorson.com. 319-352-1187
