Judith Freshwater

Judith G. Freshwater, 84, of Cedar Falls died Friday, July 10, at home under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice. She was born in Leavenworth, Kansas, the daughter of Glenn and Belle Freshwater. Judy obtained a master’s degree in music history. She taught for 17 years at Columbus High School and 7 years at Tripoli High School.

She married Ron Wheeler and had five children. She married Kim Buenneke June 23, 1989. Her children are: Todd Wheeler (Debbie Henderson) Des Moines, Elizabeth “Eli” Wheeler, Minneapolis, Rebecca Wheeler of Milwaukee, Grant Wheeler (deceased), Christine Wheeler McManus daughter in law, Amanda Vervaecke (Rod Wolfensperger) 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Grant Wheeler and brother, Charles Freshwater.

A celebration of life will be August 8 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Acker Matthias Legion Post, Denver, Iowa.
